There are many types of neighbors that make up a community, what type of neighbor do you strive to be?
Let's lead by example and all be Good Neighbors!
Good Neighbors are those that take care of their homes and yards, say hello when walking by, and are willing to help when asked. Good Neighbors are the cornerstone of a great community.
Great Neighbors go that extra mile to support and help their neighborhood. They don’t have to be asked to help, they just help when they see it needed. We all know who they are and I’m proud to say I know several Great Neighbors!
What do Get It Done Neighbors do? Yep, they get things done. I’m not talking about mowing your lawn; that’s being a good neighbor. I’m talking jumping into action when needed.
Examples abound from the recent ice store. Immediately after the ice storm they started disposing of brush. They stuffed garbage cans, safely burned branches, or hired contractors. They even hauled material away themselves.
A huge thank you to the Get It Done Neighbor!
The Needs Help Neighbor just need some help on occasion. They may be elderly, injured, or away; they might have financial limitations. These neighbors are willing to do the work but can’t for some reason.
Let’s help them, or at least offer to help if they don’t ask. We all know neighbors that need help from time to time, as we have needed help ourselves on occasion. Let's step up and do the right thing.
